Introduction

Quote-of-the-week

And it is an essential of the happy life that a man would have almost no mail and never dread the postman’s knock. In those blessed days I received, and answered, only two letters a week; one from my father, which was a matter of duty, and one from Arthur which was the high light of the week, for we poured out to each other on paper all the delight that was intoxicating us both.

Wrap-Up

Concluding Thoughts

Dear Joan,

Thanks for your letter and pictures. I say, you are lucky to have armour! I would have loved it when I was a boy, but it never came my way. The kind you have would be even better for Vikings etc. instead of Arthurian knights. As for doing more Narnian books than seven, isn’t it better to stop when people are still asking for more, than to go on when they are tired?

Love from yours,

C.S. Lewis
