As I was preparing for our recent episode on Narnia adaptations (S8E30 – Narnia – “Narnia in the 60s & 70s”, with Dr. Christin Ditchfield Lazo), I came across this call-in show with people responding tot the BBC Narnia adaptation in the 1980s, and one of the approving messages sent into the studio was from Pauline Baynes, the author of the Narnia illustrations:

After working as a Software Engineer in England for several years, David moved to the United States in 2008, where he settled in San Diego. Then, in 2020 he married his wife, Marie, and moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin. Together they have a son, Alexander, who is adamant that Narnia should be read publication order.
