As I’m reading through “The Screwtape Letters” this Season, I’m reading my copy of the Annotated Edition by Paul McCusker. Paul has also been involved with many of the C.S. Lewis projects from Focus On The Family, including a production of The Screwtape Letters starring Andy Serkis.
Today I interview a man who is well-known in the C.S. Lewis community, William O’Flaherty. William runs EssentialCSLewis.com and is the host of the “All About Jack” podcast. He is also the author of “The Misquotable CS Lewis” and the book which we will be discussing today, his guide to “The Screwtape Letters” called “C.S. Lewis Goes To Hell”.
Since we’re beginning a new season and a new book, we thought it would be wise to introduce new listeners to the life of C.S. Lewis. To this end, we invited onto the show James Como, a founding member of the New York C. S. Lewis Society, to talk about his latest book, “C.S. Lewis: A Very Short Introduction”.
Continuing “Tolkien Month”, I interviewed Joseph Loconte, author of A Hobbit, a Wardrobe, and a Great War which tells the story of how the First World War shaped the lives, faith, and writings of J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis.
Continuing “Tolkien Month”, in today’s episode I spoke with John and Greta Carswell from “The Tolkien Road” podcast (https://TolkienRoad.com/), focussing on Tolkien’s work, The Silmarillion.
Today on Pints With Jack, we do a deep-dive into the life and work of J.R.R. Tolkien with Alan and Shawn from The Prancing Pony podcast.
I sat down with David to discuss his new book, Life with the Professor: The True Story Behind The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.
At the conference which Matt and I attended last year in North Carolina, we met Dr. Steven Beebe. Dr. Beebe has just released his book, C.S. Lewis and the Craft of Communication so I sat down with Dr. Beebe to talk about it and why he regards C.S. Lewis as a master communicator…
In preparation for our reading of Till We Have Faces, Matt interviews Emily LaPorte.
