About Us
David and Matt met socially at a party in 2017 and, before long, they were soon talking about the works of C.S. Lewis...
Soon afterwards, David and Matt began a C.S. Lewis reading group in San Diego. Not long after, they launched a podcast so that friends outside of California could join in the discussion and help more people to encounter the works of C.S. Lewis, as well as the truth and beauty of Christianity.

C.S. LEWIS
In his sixty-five years of life, C.S. Lewis was poet, novelist, academic lecturer, lay theologian and Christian apologist.
Lewis, known to his friends as “Jack”, was raised in a nominally Christian household, but soon fell away from Christianity and became an ardent and avowed atheist. However, in his early thirties, he returned to belief in God, and then eventually to faith in Christ. Putting his considerable literary talents at the service of the Faith, Lewis became one of the most well-known and beloved Christian writers of the 20th Century.

DAVID BATES
After working as a Software Engineer in England for several years, David moved to the United States in 2008, where he settled in San Diego. He is involved in many ministries and runs a local C.S. Lewis reading group.
He writes at RestlessPilgrim.net and travels around the States giving talks on Scripture, Church History and Evangelization.

MATT BUSH
Born in Holland (Michigan), Matt was raised a Christian. His faith grew significantly during a trip to Israel after High School, where he walked in the footsteps of Jesus and His Apostles.
During his time at Notre Dame, he wrestled greatly with Christianity, nearly becoming an atheist during his year studying at Oxford, England. Thankfully, he was introduced to C.S. Lewis by a friend, who showed him the real truth and beauty of Christianity for the first time.

ANDREW LAZO
Andrew Lazo is a internationally-known speaker and writer specializing on C.S. Lewis and the Inklings. He is a frequent speaker around the U.S. and U.K. and has written several articles on C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
After being a guest on the show several times, Andrew officially joined the Pints With Jack team in Season 4.
